Colon Hydrotherapy

The New Year can spark the desire to purge and start fresh…often times we direct these efforts to our living spaces but forget about our bodies. I was first introduced to Colon Hydrotherapy several years ago and did a series of 6 sessions over a 6-week period. A series of 6 is recommended for first timers or those who haven’t been in a long time.

A few weeks ago, I started a series of 6 at Hadiya Wellness and my experience has been incredible. This location utilizes an open gravity bed, which I prefer over evacuation tube and the staff was very professional.

One of the changes I noticed immediately was my energy level; I often hit the 3pm slump like most people so I never really thought much of it…until now. Over the last several weeks I notice I have much more energy and I haven’t experienced my usual midday slump. And then of course there is the natural weight loss in the stomach area, which is great.

A lot of people are often reluctant to try this type of service due to the sensitive nature of the process but I assure you the experience is not nearly as weird as one might think. I highly recommend it! Here are some photos of the equipment…

Newfound Glove Love

As a person who is ALWAYS cold, I have a special affection for gloves and the warmth they provide. Once upon a time Isotoner Gloves were EV-ERY-THING….the end-all be-all of cold weather accessories providing ladies with a chic alternative to the bulky glove options of our male counterparts. Over the last 2 years, with the surge of Smartphone’s there was a bit of dilemma: brave the winter chill and remove your gloves to respond to a text or simply wait until you’re indoors.

This winter season, I am happy to see so many designers respond to this issue with Touch Screen Gloves. During my quest for my own pair I decided to try them on in person and put them to the test. Of course my first choice was the Touch Isotoner gloves and they were less than stellar; it took at least 2 attempts to perform simple functions on my iPhone such as “slide to unlock”.

After trying a few other brands, I came across the Anna & Ava 3-in-1 Touch Screen Gloves and am so pleased! These gloves can be worn as a handwarmer, glove or both…pretty cool. Also the “touch” function is fantastic, I can text and email without any issues. And they’re only $11.00!
